Museum that we can touch everything...What?

Yesterday we went to the Children's discovery museum. We had a lot of fun and it got us out of the house so dad could sleep. The kids need a break from me saying shhhh dad is sleeping and i need a to let them run off some energy so they would take a good nap for me. The kids were not so sure about it at first but they learned quickly that they could touch everything and no one said no don't touch or shhh. So after about a minute we were off and running and of course it was in different directions so i did my best to keep them together. They didn't seem to mind to much.

This was a sand box filled with little grains of rubber instead of sand. I think i need some of that they really didn't get messy in it and it doesn't stick to them like sand does.

Ethan saying Cheese. He has gotten down that when mommy takes his pappy and has the camera you say cheese. It is really cute.

The Rock wall that Anabelle went up and down about a 100 times. She had a lot of fun doing it and she could do it all by herself which is a big deal to her right now.

Under the rock wall there was a tunnel that Ethan sat in for so long just going back and forth. He had fun and the fact that mommy would pop out and scare him made it even more fun.

Right now this is as close to riding a horse that i want him. I think he did okay but even that close to the ground he fell off and hurt his knee. I think it will be a while before i get brave enough to put him on a real horse.

She absolutely loves being up on horses and asked when will she get to ride a pony. She loves riding the ponies at the carnival and fair.  So maybe they will have pony rides at the circus that is coming in a few weeks.

He sat and drove this tractor for about 15 minutes and cried when i told him he had to get down so Anabelle could have a turn. He really loved it.

She sat here for about 3 seconds and was done she wasn't all that into it.

She loved feeding the baby cows. She would bring the plate over to them and put it in the cage then she would close it and then open it and see if they were done and then close it again and wait then she would...

Pick the plate up and go put more food on it and bring it back and start all over again. She was so funny to watch.

I told her to hold the bears had and at first she said no mommy that is hairy but in the end mommy won and she did hold his had. She wasn't all that sure about it but i talked her into it and she then could not get enough of him.

Okay so this whale had a sensor in it that would make whale noises when you got to the top and it took me about 6 tries to get Ethan to actually go down. Every time the sound would come on he would turn around and go back down the stairs and run away. I finally convinced him that the noise was not going to hurt him and that he just had to slide down to get it to go off.

Anabelle was the same way until she figured out it was just noise and then i couldn't get her to stop pushing Ethan and take turns.

They both had a great time driving the boat.

Ethan kept putting this hat on and all i could think about was how many kids have had this on their heads i kept trying to get him to take it off but he wouldn't but he is pretty dang cute in it.

This was a big bubble maker. It created a bubble that went over the top of you body and then you could either pop it or let if suck all the way in and just pop when it touched you. The kids had a lot of fun with it. Anabelle then asked me later when we were outside in the driveway blowing bubbles if i could make one big enough for her to go in just like the one at the park she said.

Ethan didn't want the bubble to touch him so he would stand real still and hope it never go to him. I tried to always pop it before it did.

The big piano was a hit they ran on that for a long time it was fun to hear what they would come up with. Anabelle was singing along with their playing it was really cute.

Anabelle was quite tall enough to reach everything but she did have fun trying and feeding Ethan.

She gave him celery and milk it was really funny. She said i pulled the strings (know you would love that Peach) and here is your milk. Now eat everything.

We then head over to the magnet table it was pretty cool but Ethan wasn't quite strong enough to get the pieces off so he left before i could snap the picture.

Then we went to a room that I really did worry to much about Ethan in. It was all padded. It was nice it was the toddler and infant room so they had all these soft toys and things to climb on.

Ethan even got to balance without mom there freaking out that he was going to fall and hurt himself. He had a lot of fun in this room.

All in all we had a pretty awesome day. It was great to get out of the house and so something for the kids. We then had lunch and came home and took a nap. It was great and we will defiantly will be doing it again soon.
